Partnering Organization: Believe in Belize

Believe in Belize is a U.S.-based, all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to improving quality of life across Belize through initiatives in education, health, community, and the environment. The organization was founded by Lucy Bedewi, alongside her parents Nabil and Kareen Bedewi, and began as a school club inspired by Lucy’s visits to Belize in 2013. Over the years, Believe in Belize has grown into a formal nonprofit delivering high-impact, low-cost projects that address critical community needs. Their mission is to create a Belize where every individual and community can thrive, and they achieve this by working closely with local partners to implement sustainable solutions. In 2024, Just Jerseys partnered with Believe in Belize to support school-based sports programs in rural communities. Through this collaboration, we donated approximately 1,000 pieces of athletic apparel—including jerseys, shorts, and socks—to students in six rural villages. These contributions have strengthened local sports participation, giving more young athletes the opportunity to engage in organized sports with proper equipment. By expanding access to quality gear, we’ve helped foster a stronger foundation for youth athletics in these communities.
